Now R2-D2 can do more than just bleep...

The R2-D2 home entertainment system

Fellow Future mag T3 have been at this year's Consumer Electronics Show, and this morning they reported back with what is possibly the coolest piece of electronic kit ever made: the R2-D2 entertainment system!

Oh yes.

He's produced by radio control specialists Nikko, so as you'd expect, he's also radio controlled. He's also got a wireless FM transmitter, a pop-out iPod dock that's cleverly hidden in his front, and a DVD player and projector so you can watch your movies on any wall (or ceiling, if that's your thing). On top of all that, he's a bloody gorgeous likeness for the original... and the remote control is designed to look like the Millennium Falcon too, just to make fanboys and girls that little bit more excited! And he can be all yours for £1,300.
