Ninja Gaiden Sigma guide

Chapter 6 Boss Rush!

Got healing items? Good. You may well need to make use of a few here. You're about to face two mini-bosses and one big boss, all in a row. First up are more riders, but this time, they're two to a vehicle. These are a bit tougher than the troops you fought before, but you have the benefit here of a bit more open space than you had in other locations. Use similar strategies on these jerks as you did on their smaller buddies.

Next up is a trio of red, dinosaur-like Fiends named Gahrulas. These guys can do a rolling attack at long range, a tricksy tail swipe when you are behind them, a damaging chomp when you are in front of them at close range and breathe a wave of defense-penetrating fire. This will mostly be a battle of trading blows - stay at fairly close range, block their attacks (roll away to dodge the fire breath) and then retaliate when they're recovering from using their skills. Since there are three of these things, it can get pretty hairy at times. Don't be afraid to whip out some Elixirs or Ninpo if you feel the need arise.

Watch the cutscene following your brutal dinosaur slaughter and then prepare to fight again immediately following. Fortunately for you, this boss is a pushover. Jump over its tentacles when they swipe at you and aim for the base of where its tentacles connect to its body. After you chop off both of its tentacles, its eyes will open and its entire body will be open to attack. After a short while, however, the tentacles will regenerate and you'll need to repeat the process. If you get too far from it, it'll spit out some easily-dodged acid at you. Yawn. Oh, by the way, you're going to face this guy two more times over the course of the game. Perhaps this is Team Ninja's attempt at mercy?

What's next? The monastery itself, of course. You've already seen a bit of this place as Rachel, but now it's time to storm the entire complex.
