Frothing over Halo 3

When is utter obsession over a few screenshots great? When it's official. Right before the Thanksgiving holiday, Bungie.net published a detailed "dissection" of the new multiplayer screenshots of Halo 3. While we havethe images, of course, we don't have the same insight into them that the game's developer does. In detail greater than we thought possible, the postgoes into every minute aspect of each screenshot, pulling them apart. In all, three screenshots result in over 2000 words. Interested? Clickhere.

Burning for Wii

Last week, someone posteda videoon YouTube showing two candles used as a replacement for the Wii sensor bar - alongside a detailed explanation on how it all works. Ever the skeptics,Joystiq decided to verify the results. Is it true? Yep. You can, in fact, use candles instead of the sensor bar - if you hate wires or just want to add some mood lighting to your gaming sessions. The flames emit infrared light, just like the sensor bar does, and your Wii remote can use them to fix its position. Just don't burn down your house, or you might end up on the next site...

Smashed TV

Wii Have A Problem...is a site dedicated to Wii-based accidents. Accidentally smash a window thanks to a flying Wii-mote? Snap a picture and send it in. The site's straight-faced, vaguely bitchy tone is sort of amusing, but it's the pictures and videos that do the most important talking. There's a running damage toll on the right side of the page, too - there are only two televisions on there, so far. Let's get those numbers up!

Can't find Zelda? How about this

Twilight Princess is obviously the most desirable game of the Wii launch, and as a result, it's the hardest to find. Here's the next best thing: a soundtrack and model pack that contains a sampler CD of the game's music, alongside scale replicas of the Master Sword and Hylian Shield. According toGo Nintendo, you can track down this hardcore trinket at Target. Checkthe storyfor some snapshots.
