New Beatles Set To Board Yellow Submarine

Could Robert Zemeckis have found the four actors to board his Yellow Submarine as the new motion captured Beatles? According to Heat Vision Blog Cary (The Princess Bride) Elwes, Dean Lennox (Shameless) Kelly, Peter (Darth Maul’s voice) Serafinowicz and Adam (Date Move) Campbell are all in negotiations to star in the remake of the psychedelic ’60s toon.

Kelly will be John Lennon, Serafinowicz will be Paul McCartney, Elwes will play George Harrison and Campbell will be Ringo Starr. Coincidentally, none of the actual Beatles voiced their own characters in the original film either (though they did make a brief live action appearance); Geoffrey Hughes, the binman from Coronation Street and slob in Keeping Up Appearances, was Paul.

The actors will all voice and provide motion capture for the characters in the film, although Beatles tribute band the Fab Four will be motion-captured and providing the vocals for the musical sequences; although the film has the rights to use Beatles music, it won't be using actual Beatles recordings.
