New trailer lands for Damien TV show

A&E has unveiled a new trailer for its forthcoming Omen spin-off series, Damien, in which the spawn of the devil is all grown up and every bit as troubled as the terrifying moppet we first saw on the big screen.

The new trailer does a nice job of blending footage from the original film with some distinctly eerie footage from the new series. As one creepy little scamp puts it, "he's coming… the beast."

Take a look at the new trailer, below…

A&E has already enjoyed success with another horror spin-off series in the form of Bates Motel, and Damien will also enjoy the added narrative benefits of being a sequel rather than a prequel. The scope for this one is promising, so hopefully showrunner Glen Mazzara can deliver a worthy follow-up to the original classic. Co-starring Bradley James and Barbara Hershey, Damien will premiere in 2016, with an exact air date to be confirmed.
