New Super Luigi U DLC dated, as is The Wonderful 101

New Super Luigi U, Nintendo's huge, game-sized DLC for New Super Mario Bros. U, will be released on June the 20th, Nintendo has confirmed via today's Nintendo Direct presentation. In addition to the standard download, the content will also be available as a standalone disc release a month later on July the 26th.

In addition, Nintendo announced an August the 23rd release date for Platinum Games' The Wonderful 101, the existence of Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games 2014, and a partnership with Sega on an exclusive new Sonic the Hedgehog game, Sonic: Lost Worlds. Is this free DLC or paid?
  • shawksta - May 17, 2013 5:07 p.m.

Its Paid but for a very resonable price, because its literally half the game, its $30 for the boxed retail version, and $20 for downloadable into New Super Mario bros U

You guys gonna put an article on the Pikmin 3 info? Considering we got some great details on the Story,Characters names, how the levels are formatted, and control options?

If you cant find it anywhere, watch it in all its glory on the Nintendo direct video

I'm sorry, but these Nintendo presentations have been kind of painful and impersonal. I'm not saying the announcements were bad (though, so far, nothing particularly good), but Nintendo's posture and the actual presentation just seems....empty.. Compared to what Sony has been doing with rebuilding their image (http://planetivy.com/gaming/40184/you-just-got-schooled-how-sony-is-finally-doing-it-right/) Nintendo has been disappointing.

If your talking about this presentation sure, but you do realize the others had tons of surprises especially the massive butthurt of January's Bayonetta Wii U Exclusive Shenanigans

Yep, but I think we can all agree that this is the weakest direct presentation they've had so far.

Fair enough, it's not my main issue but F*ck it, I don't need to bother myself, one things for sure, this was to give more info on some games and to get ready for E3

...Well, talk about an underwhelming Nintendo Direct this time. Specially compared to all the previous ones. Basically boiled down to one new Sonic game, yet another Olympics game that no one serious gives a crap about. A piece of DLC and release dates. Yep... that's pretty weak. Oh well, at least 101 is coming relatively soon, here's hoping the best for platinum games on this one.

Awessommee. Wasn't expecting W101 to be out this soon considering we had little info on it before. Also this NSLBU looks kinda amazing. Maybe i'll finally pick up NSMBU since $20 for what's essentially an entire new game is a steal.
