It's called Biohazard Umbrella Corps (Biohazard obviously being the Japanese name for Resident Evil) and you may well recognise it as a name that leaked a few weeks back.
It's a digital download for PS4 and PC currently with an "early 2016" release date and $29.99 / €29.99 / £24.99 price tag. Here's the quick pitch: "corporations with nebulous interests in bio-weaponry have hired squads of special forces for experimental battles in restricted virus-infected areas against other mercenaries".
As far as gameplay, it's promising "intense and quick team-based matches" using something called an'analogue cover system' for precise peeking. The only mode being talked about currently is the 'One Life Match', basically a team deathmatch with no respawns that involves players fighting each other while "classic RE enemies prowl the map".
Gear-wise there's the 'Brainer' axe for head spiking and a 'tactical shield' that lets you use zombies as cover. There are also boot-mounted 'Terrain Spikes' for zombie trampling, although the trailer also seems to show them being used with the axe to climb around the map.
Finally, there's the 'Zombie Jammer', a "device which repels zombies", which you can see being shot off the backs of rival players in the trailer.
It's probably not the announcement you were hoping for. Capcom made a big deal about Resi's 20th anniversary at the Tokyo Game Show, so it felt like they were building up to something much more of a big deal than this. Still, let's see. Could be good...
