has released a new red-band trailer, in which Ethan Hawke finds himself stalked by a malevolent demon with designs on his family.
The film follows Hawke’s true-crime writer as he moves into a new place, only to discover a batch of weird home videos that appear to show the deaths of the house’s previous occupants.
The culprit is apparently a supernatural entity known as Bagul, a demon who lives within images, hoping to possess the soul of any child unfortunate enough to look upon him.
Take a look at the new trailer below…
The trailer is fairly similar to those that have gone before, although those home movies are getting steadily more disturbing, and the lack of any dialogue whatsoever enhances the general mood of unease.
Directed by Scott Derrickson and co-starring Juliet Rylance and James Ransone,
opens in the UK on 5 October, 2012.
