New Halo 4 trailer shows off Covenant weapons

343 Industries' interpretation of the Halo franchise is looking strong as this new Halo 4 weapons trailer for the Covenent's side of things shows. It's all pleasantly familiar, with the returning Covenent Carbine and Beam Rifle. Things look rather serious... until it gets to the Gravity Hammer, whereupon it all goes a little bit Donkey Kong. Or Micro Machines V3 depending how old you are.

Still, it's looking colourful, explosive and pleasantly arcadey - if we dare mention such a thing. Yes, we're saying it looks fun. Not long to wait now, either: It's due out on November 6. Excited? Let us know in the comments.

so...no new weapons and all the covenant weapons now act exactly like the human counterpart and annoying dubstep like a shit cherry on the cake.....really 343, are u even trying to get people to buy your game??

No new weapons? The storm rifle is new. And not to mention all of the new promethean weapons. Exactly like human weapons? Not so much. Kinda a difference if you haven't noticed. The only thing I'll agree with is the dubstep, but hey, they're just trying to appeal to more people and advertise their game as fast-paced. Not really a big deal. And besides, I bet the actual game will have barely, if none, dubstep at all.

Remind me which human weapon the Needeler and Plasma Pistols act like? Or the Fuel Rod Cannon? Or the Energy Sword? Last I checked, those don't have UNSC equals. Granted the Plasma Rifle and stuff will act a lot like the UNSC version, but that's sorta to be expected since they've been there since the first game.
