Two brand new multiplayer maps for Gears of War are sitting on Xbox Live right now for you to download, totally free of charge. However, in case you've yet to grab your share of the new content, we've got a short intro video from lead designer Cliffy B, some in-action images and a hands-on report to give you an exciting taste of the fresh carnage on offer.

A big dollop of thankful respect has to go to Epic, for serving up a fresh batch of Gears content without the all-too-familiar Xbox Live price tag.
