New Feist gameplay trailer

As if coming out of hibernation, a new gameplay trailer has been released for the surreal, silhouette-style indie title Feist. It showcases the game’s fuzzy little protagonist as he hops through a forest, avoiding the paw-swipes of much larger vicious, yet still fuzzy creatures. Developer Filthy Grip still hasn’t announced a firm release date and it looks like Feist will only be featured for Mac and PC – but the smart money says it’ll quickly find its way onto consoles if it earns even a ripple of interest. And it should because it looks wonderful.

We’re really not sure what is going on with all of these artsy, silhouette indie games coming out of the woodwork all of a sudden (Limbo, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, etc). It’s as if all these developers looked at Patapon and said “Oooh, yeah – that!” In all honesty, though, we love that look - when each game looks like a living breathing work of art, it doesn’t leave us much room to complain.

Out of the three (Limbo, Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet, and this one), I think Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet looks awesomest. Probably because of the rock music and more action-shooty gameplay. Just sayin'.

That looks pretty cool, and considering Limbo is (to my knowledge) 360 only as of now, this could prove to be a decent substitute for pc gamers. Although it doesn't look quite as exiting as Limbo :( If Limbo is as successful as Braid was though I woulden't be suprised to see it turn up on steam and other DD's later on though, so hopefully they'll both be epic and pc gamers will eventually get the best of both worlds.

Makes me think of Braid with Where The Wild Things Are for some reason. Looks interesting though. Love the music! Makes me kinda sleepy.
