If you’ve been losing sleep worrying that Call of Duty: Black Ops will be the last CoD game ever released, you can rest easy. Expect a new Call of Duty title to release during the second half of 2011. During an earnings report, Activision Blizzard revealed plans for the next installment of the series. "We will launch a new first-person action title during the back half of 2011," said Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg. The unsprising news arrives just before Call of Duty: Black Ops releases on November 9.
No details on the game’s title or the development studio that will be working on the game were confirmed. However, it’s possible that next year’s new title will be Modern Warfare 3, which was in development at Infinity Ward after the dismissal of the studio’s founders earlier this year.
