New Borderlands DLC introduces the Robolution

2K Games and Gearbox Software have announced the fourth DLC add-on for Borderlands. Titled ‘Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution,’ the add-on is set during civil war between the Hyperion Corporation and an army of rebellious Claptrap’s. Players will be tasked with quelling the robot revolution, led by a deadly Claptrap known as the Ninja Assassin.

The Claptrap-tastic DLC promises 20 new missions, with new loot, enemies, and 10 extra skill points to spend on your character. Local creatures have also received the Claptrap treatment. So expect to see crab-traps, rakk-traps and skag-traps as you make your way through the game.

Claptrap’s New Robot Revolution is scheduled to release this September for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox LIVE or $9.99 on the PlayStation Network and PC.

I didn't play that much in Borderlands yet(other games to finish), but is this what Clap-trap acts like later in the game? I never heard him curse.

I'm ready to move onto a Borderlands 2, mainly because I want to see an evolution of the game.

Very excited. My wife and I love playing co-op. The Armory DLC was great. Zombie Island was pretty good. Underdome... not so much. If this is anything like Armory though, then I will probably sink another good chunk of time into Borderlands with my wife.

Shiiiiiiit, I need to finish Dragon Age: Origins, awakening, and other DLC for it and then I still have to beat AVP and AC2. I got to stop buying games and finish the ones I already have. One a slightly more positive side, I have finished Dr. Ned's (or Zed's can't remember which) Zombie Island and am 1/3 done with Underdome but still have to beat the Armory.

I do hope it's as good as the ARMORY. I was a fool for getting UNDERDOME.

Sweet. Hopefully there is more than one new warp point in this new DLC because there was far too much driving around in the otherwise stellar Armory of General Knoxx expansion. Sign me up for this one.
  • ColonelKc - August 11, 2010 6:04 p.m.

lol they already leaked this ENTIRE dlc on the gearbox website forums......
  • StrayGator - August 11, 2010 6:03 p.m.

Absolutely loved General Knoxx, and it just keeps getting crazier. "DLC: How it should be done" Games industry - watch and learn. (just ignore this underdome thing)
  • Spartan523 - August 11, 2010 5:59 p.m.
