The Need for Speed series returns and it brings back the staples that have made this game a sensation among racing fans: the open-world race tracks, running from the police and, most of all, the incredible crash scenes. But this time around there will be less story and more speeding.

    While I've never been excited about Need For Speed games, this one looks to be the spiritual successor to Burnout Paradise. I certainly hope Criterion has been given the freedom to merge the two to make for an exceptional arcade racer. It was the one game that caught me by off guard from E3 this year.

    I have to say, the Takedown camera looks really out of place here, not sure why.
