Need for Speed: The Run limited edition trailer debuts new Porsche

Oh really? “The following is actual gameplay” from the Limited Edition of Need for Speed: The Run, is it, Black Box? If that's true, Need for Speed: The Run is going to be pretty difficult to control, with viewing angles ranging from “panoramic” to “macro-close” and not a behind-the-car camera in sight. What is this, Need for Speed: Resident Evil 2? Semantic quibbling aside, this is the first-look car-heads have got at the new Porsche, one of the three vehicles exclusive to the game's Limited Edition. The 911 Carrera S, Lamborghini Aventador and 2012 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 certainly give off the general air of “goes fast, looks nice” required of automobiles that cost more than your family has made since leaving the Old Country...

The extra cars aren't all you get in the Limited Edition. The game – centered around a race across the US for $25m and the preservation of your protagonist's life – also rewards early buyers with five extra challenges, giving completists the chance to defy the laws of mathematics with rewards and achievements in excess of 100%. Which is lucky, as any motivational speaker will tell you that 110% is actually the minimum acceptable rate of success nowadays. Need for Speed: The Run launches on November 15, with Limited Editions available to those who get in first. Put in a pre-order or commence camping outside your nearest Origin client now to avoid disappointment!
