    Best Sniping Locations

If you like to camp and snipe your enemies, here are three ways to find the perfect location for sniping.

    1. Make sure the area you choose lets you see the open battlefield. Your spot should look over the main enemy base or a route the enemy uses often. DonÂ’t pick a spot where you'll only see your enemies occasionally through small cracks.

    2. Make sure that your spot also has a lot of moving space. DonÂ’t stay still after you kill someone. Move quickly to another place, even just a few feet away from where you were will make you harder to find if your victim decides to seek revenge. Even if you can only hide behind a rock, use this cover to elude enemies searching for you with a scoped weapon.

    3. Placing yourself over areas where players wait for a vehicle to respawn is great. Remember, you can still snipe opponents when theyÂ’re in a vehicle, as long as you put your crosshair over any part of his body. Bullets go through glass.

    Multiplayer Unit Types

This game features 5 separate units that can be used in multiplayer. Assault, Sniper, Spec Ops, Combat Engineer, and Support. Each has strengths and weaknesses.

    Assault
This is the main unit in multiplayer, and most commonly used. It features the standard equipment you would expect a front lines solder to have: assault rifle, a sidearm, smoke grenades, fragmentation grenades, and a grenade launcher. Weapon models vary among the different nations.

    Sniper
This unitÂ’s main weapon is a sniper rifle with two zooms, 5x and a 10x. They also have smoke grenades, a silenced pistol (which is less accurate than the standard pistol), a laser designator which you can use to lock on to vehicles, and a GPS unit that momentarily reveals the location of all enemy units on the mini-map.

    Spec Ops
The Special Operations soldier has perhaps the most unique weaponry of all the units. They feature a silenced SMG (which is less accurate then the assault rifle), a silenced pistol (which is also less accurate than the standard pistol), flash-bang grenades that temporarily blind enemy soldiers, and C4 explosives. You can throw multiple C4 charges and then detonate them at the same time by pressing reload. Spec Ops also carry a fairly useless knife.

    Combat Engineer
Engineers wield a shotgun that is extremely useful for indoor fighting. The US shotgun isn't very powerful but has a fast rate of fire. The MEC probably have the best so try to swap for them. They also have RPGs. The rockets are much more powerful if you hit a vehicle in the rear, as the front is more heavily armored. Engineers have a standard sidearm, which you can use on distant enemies out of shotgun range. One of the EngineerÂ’s best weapons is a land mine, which you should plant on major roads or bridges. Also, if you are fighting a vehicle at close quarters, run up to it and plant a landmine. You can then detonate it with a rocket or shotgun blast. Engineers also sport blowtorches that are used to repair friendly vehicles.

    Support
The support soldier is not a front-lines fighter but more of an assistant. They sport heavy machineguns, which have a large clip and high rate of fire. They are extremely inaccurate and should be used mainly while lying down prone. The standard Support units have a standard sidearm and frag grenades. One of their most important tools is the health injector, which can be used on yourself or teammates. To heal a teammate, stand close and hold the right trigger. To heal yourself, stand away from your buddies and pull the right trigger. Support units also carry radios to call in mortar strikes. This is similar to using a laser target designator, but you have to hold the targeting reticule still and lock onto the location. These strikes are not very powerful, but are useful for suppressing an enemy while your buddies move in to eliminate them.

    Kamakazi

In multiplayer be a Special Ops and find a fast vehicle and plant C4 on the front at least or on every side. Now make sure you have the C4 detonator equipped, get in, and charge an enemy. About 20 feet away, jump out and then blow it up when it is by the enemy.

    Get Flags Easier

On the level, Strike At Karkand, be the Americans. Go to the first flag, and on the side that is closest to where you originally spawned, you will see a ladder. Go up the ladder to get to the flag instead of going out in the open to go up the stairs. This will give you the element of surprise and help you capture the flag easier.

    Vehicle Bomb

First put a C4 on a Jeep/Humvee and make sure nobody else gets in the jeep but you. Then drive the jeep fast until you find an enemy. Before you get to the enemy jump out of the vehicle, and when the vehicle rolls over to the enemy detonate the C4. You can blow up people and other vehicles easily and get lots of points and kills.

    Multiplayer Hints

    Shooting
A very useful thing to do with all soldiers except for the engineer is to lie prone when shooting. When you lie down your accuracy is greatly improved and you don't suffer the nagative effects of recoil. If you are a sniper the site will barely move. You also become a much smaller target. If you are out in the open and come under fire, the best thing to do is to quickly hit the floor and locate your assailent. This move can save your ass quite often when you get shot at. Your enemy will have to adjust his aim, and if he isn't prone recoil will make his fire extremely inaccurate while your fire will be right on target.

    C4
If you are a Spec Ops Soldier, you can plant C4 on vehicles and detoneate them. It takes 1 charge to take out a LAV (light attck vehicle) like a Hummvie, buggie, of snowmobile. It takes 2 charges to take out a MAV (medium attack vehicle) like a 30mm of a 23mm tank. It takes 3 chrges to take out an HAV (heavy attack vehicle) like the Abrams or other 120mm tanks. you can also make "carbombs" by placing C4 charges on an LAV. You then drive the car at an enemy unit or vehicle, bail, wait until it gets close enough, and detonte it. Be careful however, as your car will only be able to withstand small arms(pistols, riles, etc) fire because anything larger will set off the C4 and send you straight to hell.

    Flashbangs
These are underrated and extremly useful. for example, say theres an enemy tank blasting at you with its cannon. Throw a Flashbang at your feet and it will be blined. It will still be able to see your red dot above your head, but at least you'll have some manuevering roo. You can then run like hell to get away, or better yet throw some C4 on it and blast that bastard to hell. You can also throw them into a room before you go in which will give you a great advantage. Your own flashbangs won't stun you, but if you getblinded by one, hit the dirt and drop a smoke grenade at your feet if you can untill you recover.

    Tanks
There are 3 types of tanks, 23mm, 30mm, and 120mm. The 23mm are useful for shooting down enemy helos and killng foot soldiers. If you try to kill a foot soldier, aim directly at them, naot at their feet because your high ROF will cut them down. If you're trying to shoot down a helo, aim it the ockpit if possible. You can sometimes kill the pilot, which makes it easier to take down the helo. The 30mm tanks have secondary weapons on them like 50cal machine guns, rockets, and GTAMs THese tanks are great for suppressing the enemy because they have powerful rounds and a high ROF. These are also good for killing infantry because they have splash damage and you can shoot at their feet, although one direct hit can kill a soldier. They can also be used for shooting down Helos (helicopters) and if they have GTAMs you can lock on and blast them. The 120mm tanks are the most powerful and most heavily armored They can withstand 3 RPG rounds if hit in the front. These are great for taking out LAVs, but are at risk from mainly 30mm tanks because they have a very slow ROF and if they miss a single time in a shootout, the'll probaly get wasted. Nevertheless, if you become accurate with these behemoths you can kill almost anything. Even though they aren't designed to take down helicopters, they are very good at it, especially light helicopters the the US appache or littlebird, as 1 round will do the trick. It takes 2 rounds to take down the heavier choppers like the MEC helos or the Chinese helos. It is also easy to get the Bronze star with these if you can camp outside an enemy base and continually blast the doorways or entrances.

    Helicopters (helos)
The choppers are the games most difficult vehicles to master. The best way to become more skilled in these is to start a game with helos and practice shooting empty cars, tanks, buildings, signs, etc. You should learn to circle-strafe and continually pound an enemy. Be carful however, as you must always be aware of towers, masts, and other tall structures. Although it is easier to hit targets from a low altitude, be careful! You are almost always being watched by the other team as you are the only thing flying around. If you go too low, you become easy prey to rockets, tanks, and even smallarms. If you're being attacked be another helo, the best thing to do is to climb. Get altitude, as it's much easier to hit a target if you're looking down on it, rather than up. You also become a much harder target to the nemy chopper and it's buddies on the ground. If you heat your helo getting targetted be a laser designator, the best thing to do is get low. If you are over water, you can sometimes dodgethe missile by making random movements. If you're on land, come towards the ground at a low angle and bail. If you're lucky, the chopper will survive the fall. The missile will usually miss the parked chopper, and then you can get back into it and repair it. Be smart when you're in a chopper. If you're taking a lot of damage, bail. The stupidest thing to do is to stay in the helo. If you're taking fir from a tank, try to dodge it. If you can't, bail. You're likely to get shotdown anyway. At least give yourself that chance of survival.

    Common Sense
Don't do stupid things, thats how you get killed. For example, don't charge blindly into an enemy base, you'll probably get wasted. Take your time if you can. It'll end up being much faster andproductive then continually spawning, charging in, getting wasted, and repeating theprocess till you get lucky. Also, try to buddy up, don't travel alone. You're much easier prey that way. When the game round first starts, and hop in the drivers seat of a helo or LAV, don't take off. Wate untill you get loaded up and your not sranding your buddies. When a conquest game first stars, don't go for the closest flag if your in a LAV, go for the farthest or most important, let the slower vehicles take care of the closer bases.

    Cheap Stuff
This is the section for all those losers who are too lazy to play the game properly. To easily get medals and points, there's someting called boosting. Request a new game in CTF mode if you want to get killing medals, and a conquest game if you want Helo medals or points. Invite some of your friends and work together to get the medal. For example, say you need the experst killing medal, go to the other team and let your buddy kill you 4 times. Or if you want points, take turns taking bases. If you're camping in an enemy's base during a real game, park a tank on a repair bay. This is the cheapest thing you can do durig a game, because when you take damage, you'll simply heal. Be careful however, as if you get laser targeted, your vehicle won't survive the blast.

You can also throw multiple charges and then detonate them at the same time by pressing reload. They also have a knife which is almost useless except for when you come up behind Snipers or are out of Ammo.

    Combat Engineer
Engineers wield a shotgun that is extremly good at indoor fighting (However the US shotgun isn't very powerful but has a fast ROF. I discourage using it. The MEC probably have the best so try to swap for them. If you press the black button, you can pick up a weapons kit.) They also have RPGs. The rockets are much more powerful if you hit a vehicle in the rear. The front is more heavily armored. They have a standard sidearm which you can use to fight distant enemies if worst come to worst. This is Simarler to using a laser target designator, bot you have to hold the targeting reticle still and lock onto the location. Duck, Cover and Aim

In any level of the game you may have trouble aiming and staying out of the way of the enimies fire. To get out of fire you can duck, and then lay down by pressing the button again. Ducking also improves your shot accuracy, laying down helps even more. To get out of laying down fast just press the button again and you will get up right away.

    Online Help

A good map to learn the ropes of the online mode is the map "Backstab". In this map there is a very good sniper point, it is very helpfull for getting kills without dieing and it in turn helps you obtain medals. It is located near flag 3. Run west from flag 3 and you should get on to a road almost parralell to the road which flag 3 is on. In this street there is a door in the wall and if you go inside it you will see another door, although this door has been boarded up. To remove these boards shoot them or blow them up. Then run up the stairs and you will see some archways and you will have a clear view of flag 4 and flag 5. i reccomend you crouch down right beside a pillar on the balcony as it blocks off most view points of you.

    Sniper Glitch

When using the Sniper kit, press the weapon selection menu and select the smoke grenade and then swap back to the sniper rifle, then fire again. This all has to be done within a couple of seconds. This allows you to shoot semi auto with the sniper until you reload of course. This takes ALOT of practice to master this glitch. Note: semi can only be done fastly without the scope, mostly used if you are confronted by an enemy at close range.

    Bridge Glitch

This is the by far the most annoying glitch in BF2:MC. It is the bridge glitch on Bridge Too Far. This is a glitch in the game that allows players to hide inside the ramp that leads up to flag three (conquest) from either the american side (near flag 2) of the chinese side (near flag 4). Though i have only done the glitch on the American side ramp, I assume that it can be done on the opposite side as well. To start, crouch, (hit X once) then walk towards the section of the ramp where your character's head would just be touching the underside of the bridge, then, quickly, hit the A button to return to the normal standing position. Your character should now be standing partly in the bridge with just his head and feet exposed. You will be able to see into the bridge at that point, and notice a sort of "inner wall" between you and the absolute center of the ramp. Your character is still visible to the opposing team, and can still take damage. To proceed further into the ramp, walk towards the "inner" wall of the ramp, and jump at the same time. Your character will move forward, and at the same time, seem to bounce out of the ramp and then return back in. It is important that you do not stop holding the thumbstick to the "inner wall" while you jump. This may cause you to stop outside the bridge, and you will have to start all over again. Continue jumping down towards the "inner wall" until the wall almost disappears and only a tiny sliver of it remains. This is when you can finally go prone (from standing, hit X twice) and you will be inside the bridge. Being here, no one can see you, and you are invincible. The only way you can take damage is either by an artillary strike, or if someone glitches into the bridge with you and kills you. All of these instructions hav been given from an American point of view on the American side of the bridge. I assume that this also works on the Chinese side of the map, but I have yet to try it there. Some things to watch out for while doing this is while you are jumping and walking foreward along the "inner wall", don't just walk forward, that will bounce you out of the bridge, and you'll need to start over once again. This glitch may seem like it takes alot of effort, but once you try it for yourself, you'll find it's very easy, and master it in no time. A good use for this glitch is to place a sniper inside the bridge and just drop the opposing team as they spawn. Just be wary that they can only take so much killing and will eventually come after you, probably at an inconvient time like when you left the bridge to go get ammo.
