More shocking secrets of game store workers - Part Four

GR: Does the job offer much room for career growth?

#2: It does as far as retail goes. I've moved up a few times to a point where I ran the shop for a few days a week, but I'm resisting going any further. Once you get sucked in you'll be stuck for life! As much as I like it, I don't want to be here much longer.

#6: Not at all, I really don't want to be there - while I'm happy working there, I have greater aspirations,

#5: As in any job, if you can show you're dedicated enough to learn, and you're competent, there's no reason you can't rise through the ranks.

#4: It looks promising but, with the Christmas period approaching, I can think of nothing else but the horror of it all.

#7: Nope. I’m at the top with nowhere to go. I started as a nobody on minimum wage, and quickly rose to the top within three years. I’m now on ever so slightly more than minimum wage too. Result!

#3: None whatsoever. If I held grudges I'd even go on to say it's filled with empty promises and bare-faced lies, but I don't so I won't.
