More Call of Duty for 2007

Friday 4 August 2006
Activision has confirmed some of its releases for next year and Call of Duty will return, as will Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero.

The US publisher had to make a statement to city money men regarding forthcoming releases and the line-up was comprised of a mix of established games and big licensed products.

World Series of Poker has also been confirmed and will be accompanied by such film spin-offs as Spider-Man 3, Transformers and Shrek 3. There will also be another Marvel project, but it wasn't stated whether this would be a single hero game or something more like Marvel Alliance.

A 007 game was also mentioned as Activision has taken over ownership of the license from EA, but it seems gamers won't be able to play as Bond until May 2008, which is when MGM is planning to release the next Bond but one. In other words, there won't be a game version of Casino Royale (due for film release this November), which is something of a surprise.
