Visually, the game doesn't compare at all to the CG wizardry of the movie. That isn't to say it looks bad - the protagonists and enemies are quite cute, if not technically impressive. Unfortunately, the entire look of the game is marred by choppy graphics.
Monster House is what you'd expect from a kids' game based on a movie license. There are moments of fun, but there's nothing extraordinary about the graphics, gameplay, sound, etc. Fans of the movie who want to spend more time adventuring with DJ, Jenny and Chowder will enjoy it, but anyone else will be better served by any of the dozens of action-adventure games already on the market.
