Monkey Ball 3D trailer teases new villain and game modes

Shares

A veritable flurry of 3DS trailers are besieging would-be consumers this week, augmenting confirmed and new facts alike with plenty of practical demonstrations of what you can do with that $249-worth of raw multi-dimensional power.

One such is Sega's simian sequel, Super Monkey Ball 3D. The trailer packs plenty of spectacle into its one-minute runtime, pitting series hero AiAi against a Mojo Jojo-looking ape in confrontations that highlight the game's Monkey Race and Monkey Fight modes while hinting at plenty of classic MB action. There's a goodly amount of “things rushing toward the camera” moments, which we can only assume will be shocking and/or headache-inducing in proper 3D.

Oh, joco-you should know by now that catering for us lefties is always bottom of the pile when it comes to devs and hardware makers concerns. The 360 pad is righty centric to the Nth degree and now even Link has gone righty on us just when it would ACTUALLY have been a good , different thing for him to remain lefty!! We'll never get to brandish Links Master Sword in our favoured hand and you can bet your life on nobody at Sega even thinking lefties exist when making this game. So, I'd be careful as I too cannot cope using my right for anything much. I actually think the notice taken of left handed gamers has decreased of large compared to previous generations which is a travesty.

Could anyone please tell me whether I should be concerned by the fact that there's only one analogue stick? I'm left handed and the thought of using my right hand to write on the touchscreen makes me worried, as I can't use my right hand for anything. Can anyone confirm/allay my fears?

Wake me when they remember Super Monkey Ball 1 and 2 existed and stop making the levels so piss easy and replacing them with completely unrelated minigames.
