Microsoft uses the Forza

Wednesday 10 May 2006
Microsoft has announced that Forza Motorsport 2 will be realised for Xbox 360 this winter.

The continuation of Microsoft's racing franchise was announced at the company's pre-E3 conference, as was the release of a new peripheral to use with the game - a wireless, force-feedback steering wheel.

Forza 2 will now have over 300 cars to collect, race and customise, and 60 tracks, to include 13 real licensed tracks such as Silverstone and the Tsukuba circuit.

The customisation element still remains central to the game and now players will be able to take photos of their creations with the new photo mode and upload them to Xbox Live to be scrutinised by the Forza community.

Up to 12-player online racing will be a possibility in Forza 2, along with the extra realism and sheen that only 360's high-definition output can bring.
