On the way out, jovial partygoers drunk on beer and Halo were devouring the requisite poster-and-tee-shirt offering. The evening was simultaneously energetic and low-key, filled with people enjoying themselves some video games. No midnight countdown, no relentless hype machine, no stodgy, self-congratulatory slideshow. Microsoft already knows Halo 3 is a license to print money, so this event was all about letting your hair down and having fun.
