Michelle Williams IS Charlotte Bronte

So far, it’s been a mixed year for Michelle Williams. She missed out on an Oscar and the Woody Allen film she was planning to shoot in Paris has fallen through. That said, she’s clearly enjoying being a parent alongside Heath Ledger and despite saying that they’re both planning to take some time off to spend with their daughter, she’s still in demand.

She’s already signed up to voice one of the creatures in Where The Wild Things Are, and now she’s going to slip into period costume to play Charlotte Bronte, the writer of Jane Eyre.

Angela Workman is writing and directing Bronte, which will chronicle the life of Emily’s equally talented sis. Appearing alongside Williams will be a grab bag of hefty talent including Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, Brian Cox and Stage Beauty’s Ben Chaplin.

Workman will start calling the shots later this year.
