Michael Fassbender is re-teaming with his
director Steve McQueen for a new drama entitled
Fassbender will play Brandon, a 30-something living in New York “who is unable to manage his sex life”. Which either means he’s a sex addict, or he’s just getting so many offers he needs to juggle five diaries.
Shelve those concerns that Fassbender is going all Hangover on us, though – Shame is expected to be a “deeply honest and provocative” modern story, according to sales agency HanWay Films.
Shame will go in front of cameras in January 2011, once Fassbender has finished up work as the villainous Magneto in X-Men: First Class .
McQueen, meanwhile, is also planning a biopic of activist and musician Fela Kuti.
