Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance gameplay video released

The pre-release buzz for Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has been huge, and we've seen a number of cinematic trailers for the title, but the moments when we've been able to gaze upon its awesome slicing-and-dicing gameplay have been few and far between. The video helps remedy that and shows off the first few minutes of gameplay.

We're big fans of Platinum Games, and we can't wait to see what they're able to do with the Metal Gear franchise. Revengeance looks amazing, and it's due out in "early 2013." Coincidentally, that's also when we're supposed to be seeing Anarchy Reigns launch in North America, plus Project P-100 will likely be coming in late 2012 to Wii U so we'll have all the Platinum we can handle in the December to March time frame.

This is definitely looking good. Loved the return of the watermelons as well. Can't wait for a demo to come out, even if it does only come with pre-orders for Anarchy Reigns or something.

I'm more excited for Project P-100 to be honest. Maybe this will make its way to the Wii U... MGS5 Wii U would be nice too!

Hey, Gameboy Colo got an exclusive title (MGS Ghost Babel) and Gamecube got a great remake of MGS... good things can happen and I hope they do!

Ghost Babel was really great, yeah, I would definitely wouldn't mind them making another portable MGS of that style, unlikely it would happen though, sadly.

Revengeance? Are the enemies in this game the Revengencers? Perhaps Raiden will receive some help from help from Nathan Explosion and Skwisgar Skwigelf? Deathklok would make a damn good distraction for all of Raiden's sneaking around.

I'd love to hear everyone that instantly hated the game when it wasn't "traditional" MGS right now. I can't wait for this, it looks like a blast to play.

Yeah, I'd be pissed if it was "MGS", it's "MGR" so I'm cool. Won't buy it though as hack-n-slash isn't my thing, and because Hideo isn't invovled in the story, so I don't see it as canonical.

His company still is though, they just gave the mechanical concepts and gameplay to platinum games because they were having a hard time with it.Kojima productions handled th story, so I am sure that he peaks in every now and then.
