Mass Effect 2 for PS3 gets more free DLC

PlayStation 3 players to be treated to free armor and weapon content

Good things come to those who wait. BioWare has recently announced additional free DLC goodies for purchasers of the PlayStation 3 version of Mass Effect 2. The announcement comes from the official Mass Effect 2 Facebook page, which says:

Until February 23rd, 2011, Mass Effect 2 players on Playstation 3 can download the Terminus Armor and M-490 Blackstorm Projector Weapon free of charge from the PSN Store. After Feb 23rd, the Terminus Gear will be available as paid DLC. Order your copy of ME2 on PS3 today!

In addition to the extra armor and weapon, the PlayStation 3 version will include the Lair of the Shadow Broker, Project Overlord, and Kasumi: Stolen Memory DLC add-ons. It will also come with Mass Effect Genesis, an interactive comic from Dark Horse.

The PlayStation 3 version of Mass Effect 2 is scheduled to release on January 18 in North America and on January 21 in Europe.
