Airplane fans have got it good on PSP right now. Last year’s release of the suitably impressive Ace Combat X: Skies of Deception certainly proved a hit with fans of all things gravity defying and it’s about to get better with the imminent appearance of MACH.
That’s Modified Air Combat Heroes, to give it its full title - a game that combines the fast-paced, weapon-focused racing of games such as WipEout with traditional aerial dogfighting and a bit of Need for Speed-style vehicle customization thrown in for good measure. Coat everything in a sheen of slick, cartoon-style visuals and you have one of the most unique looking PSP-exclusive titles yet.
In fact, we’ve been blown away by the brilliant feeling of speed you get from MACH. If you’re going to release a game featuring a sound-barrier breaking bit of flying kit, the most important thing is to make it feel like you’re moving fast, and MACH gets it spot on with a variety of gorgeous race tracks that whip by at breakneck speed.
