Logan is different from most superhero movies - take this black-and-white boat-selling clip, for instance

Logan differs from other X-Men and superhero movies in a lot of ways - it's more violent than most and carries an R rating, and the focus seems to be on personal drama instead of over-the-top action. But even considering all that, a black-and-white scene showing Logan as a limo driver while he listens to voicemail about a boat he has for sale feels pretty unexpected:

Edit: Actually, as Sue Farmerb points out in the comments, it's Logan's voice we hear, looking to buy the boat. And he's going by his original name, James Howlett. Good ear!

It definitely seems like something that happens early in the film (or possibly a flashback, which might explain the black and white), giving us a look at what Wolverine's life looks like when he's no longer… well, Wolverine. With that grumpy face and a disposition for violence, I keep expecting Hugh Jackman to turn to the camera and give his best "Are you talkin' to me?" speech.

Directed by James Mangold and starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, and Boyd Holbrook, Richard E. Grant, and Elizabeth Rodriguez, Logan will be released in cinemas on March 3, 2017.
