Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII side quest guide

Born from Chaos

If you look closely, you can see the Zomok beast hiding in the back of the alley.

Who you get it from: Solandra, a woman in a cowboy hat standing at either end of the North-South Corridor that extends south from the Warehouse District

When you can obtain the quest: Anytime after completing Main Quest 1-2

Rewards for completion: Pendragon x1, Brigand’s Tricorne x1, Max HP +120, Strength +12, Magic +10

Instructions for completion: Head down the same corridor that Solandra is standing in front of. Defeat the Zomok beast in the middle of the corridor. Report back to Solandra to complete the quest. While you can accept this quest early in your playthrough, you’ll have a much easier time defeating Zomok if you wait a few days, after you’ve earned substantial upgrades.

if you do decide to try to complete this quest, be careful. I had the unfortunate luck of only fighting anubys for all 30 tokens for i had eradicated both the niblets and gremlins. so be careful about making some enemies extinct. it will come to haunt you later in the game.

after getting my starlit spice stolen a few times if found that if one of the enemy bots is in the area(turning the map screen red where ronan is) the cats were gone. I climbed the ladder just before leaving the warren, was on top of the ledge, the bot below me, jumped down and just walked up to ronan. Hope it works for someone else.

If you're still stuck on this, I figured it out. You have to go there at night. If you've already completed Noel's story, then this is the only other way. I'm trying my best not to rely on guides, but I know FF for being a hellishly hard game. I like it, but sometimes, we all need a little help. Personally, I want an easier way to get in and out of the Warren...and a faster way around towns.
