Left 4 Dead-like Vermintide is coming to consoles, hope you don't mind the ratfolk

So there hasn't been a new Left 4 Dead game in seven years. So you've got an itch that only fast-paced, co-op FPS monster slaughter will scratch. Well, if you don't mind trading the hordes of zombies with ratfolk and modern-day weaponry for crossbows and swords, turn your attention to October 4, when Warhammer: The End Times - Vermintide comes to PS4 and Xbox One.

Warhammer: The End Ti-... okay, you know what? I'm just gonna call it "Vermintide" from here on. Anyway, Vermintide is a four-player co-op shooter that pits medieval fantasy heroes against a seemingly endless swarm of rat monsters. As in Left 4 Dead, you'll need to quickly coordinate with your teammates and share supplies to survive to the end.

The console version will feature all of the DLC released on PC, including a Last Stand game mode and three bonus adventure maps. This is on top of an already-robust leveling and loot system, where weapons and gear can be customized and strengthened to suit your playstyle. Itch scratched.
