Lee Pace talks Guardians Of The Galaxy villain

Lee Pace is set to take on supervillain duties as Ronan The Accuser in Guardians Of The Galaxy , with the star explaining what we can expect from the new film’s big bad.

“He’s a fucking psycho!” laughs Pace. “He’s a real monster. I’ve had the best time playing this character. I’m glad it’s all on film, [ as ] I never thought I could be so nuts in it!”

A member of the Kree race, Ronan is part of the Accuser Corps, the Kree equivalent of military governors and jurists. And as Ronan The Accuser, he’s kind of a big deal…

The film has just wrapped production ahead of its 2014 release, and Pace is quick to praise the work done by director James Gunn in bringing the Guardians from page to screen.

“James Gunn is just putting together a phenomenal movie,” says the star, “and I’ve had the best time working with him on it. And yeah, we’ve made a monster of an alien!”

Co-starring Chris Pratt, Benicio Del Toro and Zoe Saldana, Guardians Of The Galaxy will open in the UK on 1 August 2014.
