No one these days would claim that Thor, Norse god with unlimited strength and an earth-shattering hammer, isn’t popular, but in the late 80s it was decided he needed to be humanized. The writers introduced Eric Masterson, a devoted father that took over the mantle of Thor until Odin stopped grounding the real Thor. But things weren’t over for Eric, as Odin gave him a mythical mace which he used to become a Thunderstrike, a hip Thor for the '90s!
With his ponytail, sleeveless jacket and lightning bolt earring, Thunderstrike is so aggressively cutting edge it hurts. Were he to star in a game now (or even in the mid-90s) he’d seem like the non-Union Thor, a bootleg version of the game you wanted. He’s kinda strong, can fly sorta fast, and throw his not-hammer pretty hard, but it’d all pale in comparison to actually playing as Thor in a third-person action game. On the plus side, he’d probably have great quips, like “Stop crooks, it’s Hammer Time!”
