KOTOR remake project is way better than a simple resolution update

Rarely do I feel so conflicted about sharing a news story, reader. On the one hand, I desperately want to show you this pre-alpha footage of a Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake project, because it is so very, very pretty. On the other hand, I'm kinda worried that the attention will bring it one step closer to a cease-and-desist from EA or Disney, even though the creators aren't looking to make a profit. The struggle is real!

But, judging by the fact that you're reading this, I bet you can guess which choice I made:

Now, while all of this is very impressive, Knights of the Old Republic is a fondly-remembered piece of gaming history. It's going to be hard to live up to fan expectations, and as I mentioned, there's the legal side to be concerned with as well. I hope the project becomes fully armed and operational, but don't be too surprised if a million lines of code cry out and suddenly go silent. May the Force be with you, Apeiron.
