Kojima gets his rumble wish

Sept 20, 2007

A total of 66 PlayStation 3 games have been announced as compatible with Dual Shock 3's rumble feature, including Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Which should make Hideo Kojima's poor 'rumble guy' very happy, as he's finally got something to do.

Existing games like Heavenly Sword or MotorStorm will benefit from the new rumble capabilty through a software update. Though we're surprised to see that Virtua Fighter, Virtua Tennis and Colin McRae Dirt are all absent from the list - it's possible that these will follow in future, but by no means guaranteed.

It's clear from the number of in-development titles, however, that rumble has been immediately re-adopted by devs. In fact, The Darkness doesn't even need a software update - obviously 2K Games knew something we didn't.

Below is the full list of compatible titles. Games in bold will require the software update.
