Square Enix swung by PlayStation's Tokyo Game Show press conference to announce just one more compilation of Kingdom Hearts games: Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue is coming to PlayStation 4 in 2016.
The HD collection is positioned as the final connective piece in the story, leading into the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3. It's also something of a crown jewel for Square's Algorithmic Overlong Title Generation Department, which finally had to clear up the confetti and empty champagne glasses from the infamous Dissidia Duodecim Prologus Final Fantasy dubbing party.
Kingdom Hearts HD II.8 Final Chapter Prologue contains an HD remaster of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance (which originated on Nintendo 3DS), paired with two new "episodes." Not much has been shared on those, save for their awe-inspiring titles: Kingdom Hearts Lucidia Remembrance and Kingdom Hearts Ember / Embrace / Burn.
Ok, just kidding, the real titles are: Kingdom Hearts X Back Cover and Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth By Sleep - A Fragmentary Passage -.
This will be the third HD compilation of Kingdom Hearts games for Square Enix, following Kingdom Hearts I.5 Remix and Kingdom Hearts II.5 Remix.
