Still mystified by Kinect's inner workings? One inquisitive gamer has put his Modern Warfare night visiongoggles to practicaluse and caught aglimpse at how Microsoft's new motion sensing accessories get to work after dark:

In addition to looking like a Vegas hotel room under black lighting, RumblePackNZ's video highlights just how intricate Kinect's motion scanning system can get, with each of the thousand-odd infrared dots representing measurable points of reference for the home base to analyze and translate into on-screen movement.

How that part of the process works, we're not entirely sure, but we're willing to bet that video isn't half as interesting.
