Kevin J Anderson Confirmed for the Weekender

The multi-million selling American sci-fi author is taking a trip across the pond to join us in Camber Sands

Having one of your books make the bestseller lists around the world is a life-changing achievement. Having 47 storm the charts topping more than 20 million copies sold? That’s just rubbing it in. It’s a track record well deserved for author Kevin J Anderson, however, and we’re delighted to announce he’ll be joining us for the SFX Weekender 2 in Camber Sands 4-5 February 2011.

Award-winning, record-breaking (Largest Single Author Signing Guinness fans) author Anderson has written tie-in novels for Star Wars , The X Files and Starcraft as well as co-authoring the ongoing Dune series with Frank Herbert since 1999. His original works include the Saga Of The Seven Suns series, Resurrection, Inc. and Blindfold and he’s also written comics for DC, edited short story anthologies and serves as a judge on the Writers Of The Future contest. Phew, the only explanation is time-travel. Or possibly a small army of clones.

Anderson will be in good company at the SFX Weekender 2, which also counts the likes of Terry Pratchett, China Miéville, Stephen Baxter and Jon Courtenay Grimwood among its literary ranks. If you’d like to join in the fun at the weekend long sci-fi spectacular from Friday 4th February to Saturday 5th February 2011 (with a pre-party on Thursday 3rd February for the early birds) book now by calling 08700 11 00 34, or head to www.sfxweekender.com/tickets for more information. VIP tickets are already sold out, and tickets for the pre-party are going fast, but there are still other options available.
