Journey launch trailer sets a psychedelic tone

Thatgamecompany is readying Journey for a wide release on the PlayStation Network tomorrow. See why it may be worth a trip to Sony's digital oasis in the studio's new launch trailer:

PlayStation Plus members have already had a week to get their bearings in the PS3 exclusive. Starting tomorrow, however, all PSN players will have the opportunity to dive into Thatgamecompany's desert-roaming adventure.

Much like the studio's previous PSN titles, flOw and Flower, Journey promises a surreal gaming experience driven by simplistic controls, unique multiplayer mechanics, and an emphasis on self-guided discovery. In it, players lead a robed figure through a mysterious desert, occasionally hooking up online with other mute travelers to solve its mysteries and take in its wonders.

GR had an opportunity to trip around Thatgamecompany's latest project, and we can safely say this is one download that will stick with you for years to come. See why it will leave you speechless (and a little parched) in our review.
