Of course, we've seen the MCU version of Thanos multiple times now, over the course of several films, so this isn't so much a reveal as it is a tease of what's to come. Thanos is the biggest, meanest threat the MCU's heroes have ever faced, and the film in which he stars will be the culmination of years of groundwork being laid.

Basically, if the MCU were a video game, he'd be the final boss. So get ready to see a whole lot more of this ugly purple mug between now and 2018.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Infinity War is due to arrive in UK cinemas on April 27, 2018 before opening in US theatres on May 4th, 2018.
