I definitely agree with his comments on adventure games. (Well, social games too, but I doubt many here were going to disagree much there.) I might sometimes be kind of embarrassed to admit it if I hadn't played a classic shooter or RPG or strategy game, but I'll admit it just fine if I haven't played a classic adventure game -- and I haven't played most of them -- because they have such poorly designed gameplay. Beautiful worlds, intricately (and often hilariously) told stories, indeed, but smart game design that gives the player good fun? Hardly. I'm interested to see how his new game pans out because of this.

I'm not going to call anything here "evil," but I just don't care for "social games." I've heard this guy can get pretty zealous when it comes to condemning everything that isn't indie.

"Evil" is a bit too strong a word, but I agree with what he's saying. The way Farmville works is just plain cynical, (Get friends or pay the price) and this general step of making socializing into a meta-game of sorts is just retarded. I just hate Facebook in general.

I like the Blow fellow. I like his face.
