Jim Carrey talks Bruce Almighty and Dumber... sequels

While on the press tour for his latest movie, Mr. Popper's Penguins , Jim Carrey hinted to ComingSoon that he may be revisiting some characters from his hit movies.

The actor spoke of his sequel plans when he was asked what he'd be doing after Mr. Popper's Penguins .

He said: "We're talking about maybe returning to some old characters that everyone has been asking about… There's Bruce Almighty and we're talking about maybe another Dumb And Dumber ."

It's worth remembering that both those movies have already had godawful, Carrey-less sequels: Evan Almighty and Dumb And Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd .

Directory Bobby Farrelly has previously spoken about the possibility of a Dumber… sequel:

"If we could get those two guys back together, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels, that might be a worthwhile sequel – and that ball is in motion. We’re starting to think about what those two dimwits would be doing twenty years later in life, and hopefully we’ll be able to come up with something worthy of a sequel."

The Farrelly brothers are currently busy at work on their Three Stooges movie, but as Carrey's not locked into any future projects right now, one of these sequels could get moving quickly.
