The Red Dawn remake just keeps on adding talent - now Watchmen's Jeffrey Dean Morgan is parachuting in to join the cast.
Just a scant 10 days after finishing up his work on graphic novel adaptation The Losers, Morgan will head to Detroit to help the Wolverines fight off the invading forces.
And he's got a personal reason for signing on: "I just love that f**king movie, ever since I was a kid."
With his experience of the original, he knows what his role will be. "I guess I'm more or less the old Powers Boothe character (below left)," he tells Comingsoon.
"There's all the kids and Powers Boothe is the pilot that lands in the film and kind of helps them take down the bad guys. Blow communism away. It's a really good, young cast. I'll be the old guy in it, which is cool."
He'll be aiding the likes of Chris Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Adrianne Palicki and Isabel Lucas to fight the nasty Commies…
Is Morgan the right choice? Should the remake go ahead? Speak!
