Jason Clarke to star in Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes
Sequel to take place fifteen years later
New details have emerged concerning Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes , with Zero Dark Thirty star Jason Clarke set to appear in an unspecified role.
We’re not sure who he’ll be playing, but given that the plot will focus on a group of human scientists struggling to survive in San Francisco, we’d wager he might be one of them.
Heat Vision reports that the sequel will take place some 15 years after the events of the first film, which ended with the ape-carried flu spreading fatally across the globe.
Andy Serkis will return once more as lead ape Caesar, who we last saw beginning to master the English language, although James Franco is not expected to reappear.
Directed by Matt Reeves (in the absence of the departed Rupert Wyatt) from a script by Mark Bomback, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes will open in the UK on 23 May 2014.
