James' Journey To Jerusalem review

Naïve Bible-basher James (Siyabonga Melongisi Shibe) leaves his African village for a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Alas, Customs don't believe his happy-clappy tale and he duly finds himself toiling in shitty, immigrant-exploiting jobs in Tel Aviv. Determined not to be a ""frayer"" (a mug), James instead becomes a black-market player, raking in the loot and overlooking the Lord. Implausibility and Sunday-school jollity aside, a wide-eyed optimism in the face of prejudice brings charm to this worthy Israeli parable.
