J.J. Abrams confirms Star Wars script complete

Not a day goes by without some sort of Star Wars rumour doing the rounds, but now we actually have some solid confirmation about something, straight from the director himself: the script is complete, and at least one of those casting rumours might come true...

While promoting his latest in a long line of TV projects – Believe , created by Alfonso Cuarón – J.J. Abrams couldn’t avoid the Star Wars Episode VII questions for long.

Talking to The Wrap about where he is with the film, Abrams said “We’re working really hard and we’ve got our script and we’re in deep prep. Full steam ahead, y’know.”

He also went on to confirm that he has met with Breaking Bad ’s Jesse Plemons about a role in the film, saying “He is one of the actors that we’ve talked to, yeah,“

He added “It’s not often that I read about actors that I’m going to be meeting … that I get to read articles about actors who are going to come in. And so I get to see someone and say, ‘Oh, I read that I’m going to see you.’ … It’s usually agents talking to people about what’s happening. It’s a lot of noise.”
