We’re not expecting to receive any official product shots of the new Nintendo 3DS until this year’s E3 Expo this June. But a ton of mysterious photos of what appears to be Nintendo’s new handheld device have been making their way around the internet since they were first sighted this morning on the Japanese gaming site, Mogu Mogu. Check out more photos of what may be the first images of the new Nintendo 3DS below.
According to Mogu Mogu, these shots were taken and published without the manufacturer’s permission and without any official confirmation from Nintendo, these images are still stuck in our rumor bin. Still, they do look mighty interesting! What do you think? Do these photos seem legit to you? A penny for your thoughts in the comments section below.

Above: Looks like you'll be able to rotate the control piece below the screen to adjust whether the device is horizontally or vertically aligned
Above: Perhaps games will require you to switch between the two alignments? Vertical seems the way to go for puzzlers and shooters

Above: If this is the real deal, this image shows how 3D compositing could work in photographs you take and games you play, allowing onscreen objects to rotate as you tilt the device
