Hopes of a new installment in the Homeworld RTS series have been raised as the trademark has reportedly been snapped up by THQ.
Fans of the series apparently dug up the news on the trademark acquisition in a trademark document published online - however, at time of press the document was unavailable.
The Homeworld games were previously published by Sierra and developed by Relic. Relic, of course, was bought out by THQ, so speculation that the studio could deliver a third Homeworld outing is reasonable.
Homeworld is a space-based, 3D RTS that proved extremely popular, and its return has been long lusted after by fans.
