PS4 exclusive Infamous: Second Son will launch in February 2014, a year after the open-world action title was first revealed alongside the upcoming console. The launch window was confirmed to Polygon by a Sucker Punch representative at Gamescom.
Set in Seattle seven years after Cole's story in Infamous 2, Second Son stars new protagonist Delsin Rowe, a 24-year-old Native American street artist who can control smoke. He's viewed as a bioterrorist by the DUP, a branch of government tasked with controlling those with superhuman abilities.
As well as the ability to unleash smoke projectiles and fireballs, Rowe can execute a smoke-dash move and confuse enemies using a smoke cloud. He replenishes smoke by absorbing it from chimneys and destroyed cars. He can also absorb the superpowers of other characters, such as the electric powers shown in the Gamescom trailer at the top of the page.
