The tram car scene saw Indy riding on top while a buddy guided it hell-for-leather along the tracks. Chinatown gangsters were giving chase, driving alongside the car and leaping aboard. Indy could kick, punch and throw them from the moving tram, although thanks to 'euphoria' we saw one goon make a grab for the edge of the tram as he fell, gripping on for dear life.
And that’s where things got a bit ropey. For all the talk of realism, occasionally the characters moved like extras from Thunderbirds, all puppet-on-a-string and wooden. But the game’s got more than a year of development left - it's out in summer 2007 - and this was an extremely early version.
LucasArts says that Indiana Jones will "revolutionise the way people play games", which is a bit too over-enthusiastic for us. But we've seen some really impressive things from the game and while it might not be a revolution, we're sure it'll live up to the pedigree of that famous name.
