Beginning with an Emily Booth cameo and heading swiftly downhill from there, Alex Chandon's screechy horror-comedy pits a troupe of troubled townie kids and their careworkers (including Jo Hartley from This Is England ) against Seamus O’Neill (another Meadows acolyte) and his bumpkins.
All-out gore is the USP, but it’s served with such pernicious cynicism (is casting people with genuine disabilities as freaks OK?) and terrible dialogue (“He was assaulting Sam, so I hit him with a spade!”) only the persistent will stick around to count all The League Of Gentlemen steals.
